Day 1 - The Influential Presenter

  • The effective/influential presenter defined
  • Individual Reports (self-assessed, known strengths & areas for development) – Who are you? Belbin’s test for team working
  • Presentation #1:
    “Mirror Mirror on the Wall”
  • Preparing for your Presentation
  • Build credibility
  • Overcome nerves
  • Charisma, passion & confidence Quick Overview of Personal Delivery Techniques ( Eye contact, body language & voice)
  • Presentation #2: “The 60 Sec Elevator Speech or  Impromptu Response”
  • Delivering your presentation
  • Handling post-presentation questions
  • Presentation # 3: “The Informative Presentation”

Day 2

  • Homework assignment
  • Presentation #4: “Speaking With Passion”
  • Visual aids: Reassessment of effective usage (Eg, PowerPoint: less is more)
  • Influencing techniques
  • Adapting delivery to your audience’s values & interests
  • Adapting presentation to style & learning preferences to your Audience
  • The psychology of influence: Using the AIDA structure      
  • Creating ‘value’ dialogue
  • Presentation # 5: “A Value Proposition” (Needs, Solutions and giving Value)
  • Reaffirmation of individual presentation strengths: enhancing confidence levels
  • Setting action plan for future development

  • Each trainee will also receive a DVD showing their final presentation which the trainer uses for evaluation.

Michael has started and managed sustained growth for 2 businesses in China and 1 business in India. Michael earned 2 Bachelors in Developmental Psychology and Anthropology, as well as an MBA degree. Michael's passion for education and vast management and leadership experience is brought into every class.
